I'm now a Vegetarian (almost Vegan).
This is not something that I just woke up one morning and said, "Hey, I'm going to become a Vegetarian. And maybe, I'll be a real tough chick and go Vegan."
Pain lead me to an organic, farm-to-table lifestyle.
For the last two years, I've battled Crohn's Disease, and damn is it painful. We're talking, I used to have several days a month where all I could do was lie on the couch in the fetal position holding a heating pad to my abdominal region.
I'm not much for Western Medicine and its emphasis on pharmaceuticals and its treatment of the body as individual parts separate from the mind and spirit. I believe in the natural power and techniques of Eastern Medicine which has been used for thousands of years, centered on the basic principle that to heal the physical body, one has to heal the mind and spirit, too. I love that this approach makes use of the many treasures Mother Nature and The Green Man provide us. So, like any good health and herbal remedy store regular, I began my search for how to heal myself-mind, body and spirit-the natural way.
I'll be sharing my journey with you in my DDScott-ville Blog, and along with the journey, the wonderful recipes, remedies and ancient wisdom that have worked for me.
***And no, I am NOT a doctor nor a certified health professional so none of this information should be used under that pretense.
