Happy Tuesday from right outside Music City, Peeps!!!
We're in Goodlettsville, TN (just about 14 miles north of downtown Nashville TN), and wow have I discovered a Must-See Gem of The Week!!!
C'mon down, Y'All, and stop in the Star Cafe!!!
Rumor has it, they have the best fried chicken in the South. (Note: They do have one helluva great Meat N Three-style breakfast!!! Been there! Done that!!!) And we'll be tryin' the fried chicken later this week (probably on Friday or Saturday night during their Singer/Songwriter Nights - each Friday and Saturday from 6 to 8 pm).
***Super Scoop: most restaurants and bars down here have Singer/Songwriter nights where local talent trying to make it big, line up their guitars and take turns on the stage, hoping a big-time producer or agent happens to be in the crowd that night. Sometimes, even the superstars pop-in. For example, one night The DH (Darling Husband) and I were in Stage (one of the terrific bars on Broadway in downtown Nashville) and Ronnie Dunn was standing right next to me at the bar and soon took the stage for a couple of songs!!! :-)
Here's the fab little stage at Star Cafe, where superstars like Dierks Bentley and Wynonna Judd have performed...
Nothin' at Star Cafe matches - which I adore!!! Every chair at every table is different. Each piece of silverware, each glass and plate are unique. I even had my omelet (in the middle of August) served on a snowman covered Christmas plate! How fun is that?!
Also, our waitress - Kat - was wonderful! (Wavin' atchya, Kat!!!)
And Sally Findey, the hilarious and super-talented owner and recipe maven, has the best "table legs" I've EVER seen!!! LMAO!!!
Wavin' atchya, Sally!!! We'll be back soon!!!
So yep, Star Cafe is definitely my Music City Must-See Gem of The Week!!!
Okay, D. D. Scott-ville Peeps, It's Your Turn: Tell us about your fave diners across the USA...
The Best of Full-Time RVing Wishes --- D. D. Scott
P.S. Programming Note: Each week, I'll now have a Must-See Gem of The Week as well as Full-Time RVing Tips and Tricks, plus Special Features on all of the fantabulous RV Resort Parks we're calling "home". And, of course, I'll keep y'all up to date on my new books, audio books, and more.
Speaking of which...Book Two, in my Bootscootin' Books Series (STOMPIN' ON STETSONS), features a Meat N Three Diner just like the Star Cafe. It's called Lucy's Lunchbox Cafe. Not sure what a Meat N Three Diner is? I give you all the scoop in Stompin' on Stetsons. And...my upcoming release (just in time for Halloween this year) - PRACTICAL MAYHEM (Belle Bishop, Queen of Witches, Book 2) - will also feature a Meat N Three Diner...and it might even be Lucy's...still figuring that out...LOL!!! :-)
